Maersk has announced a new addition to its dual-fuel methanol containership fleet, with the Beijing Mærsk.
As announced, the new addition to the fleet is equipped with a dual-fuel engine aiming to support the energy transition and reduce emissions has entered service. The vessel was built in partnership with HD Hyundai Heavy Industries and MAN Energy Solutions.

The ship measures 350 meters in length and 56 meters in breadth, with a lightweight of 49,800 tonnes.
Furthermore, tt has a container capacity of 17,480 TEU (twenty-foot equivalent units). The vessel was observed berthing at Qingdao Port, one of the busiest ports worldwide.
